Wowie-zowie! Jason & Lacey probably had my favorite wedding venue of all time. Seriously, this place is gorgeous. Next time you see a Groupon for The Canebrake, snatch it up! My husband Luke and I were able to shoot this wedding for Storybook and we are so glad we did! Everything about this wedding was just so beautiful! Jason & Lacey decided to see each other prior to the wedding so that they could get most of the pictures done at a time when we had enough daylight, and also to avoid the usual hour-long wait that most wedding guests endure. We got all the pictures done a bit before the ceremony, so the bride and groom had a few minutes to sit and breathe before walking down the aisle. Lacey was amazing her gown- Jason even had to whip out his iPhone and get a shot! Their ceremony was held right at the entrance to the main lodge, just as the sun was setting; it couldn’t have been more beautiful. To Lacey & Jason- we wish you the very best and thank you for letting us be a part of your day!

WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!! That’s all I’ve got to say!!
Okay, we both know that’s not true- I’ve always got more to say! I met Corey ‘the Sitch’ and Angela a few months ago at their engagement session and we just hit it off immediately. Every once in a great while, someone actually gets my jokes and of course, I adore them for it! Human nature, right? Well, at least that’s my explanation for my narcissism! Okay, enough of me divulging my shortcomings, let’s move on to the wedding. Corey & Angela had a gorgeous ceremony outside of the Tulsa Garden Center right during the golden hour (niiiiice!) and then their reception was at the aquarium; the whole thing was just beautiful! The photo booth, the food, the DJ…all of it! Just perfect! I can’t wait to see their Pen Weddings video teaser, too, it’s gonna be good!

Meet Matt & Alyssa, hosts of Skunks TV! If you’ve never tuned in before, go to www.SkunksTV.com for info about the show, the Dudes, Matt & Alyssa’s ministry, or contact info. The three us woke up rediculously early one morning last week to get some shots of these two, and somehow, as early as it was, they looked fabulous! Their clothing was sponsored by The Refinery (www.TheRefineryTulsa.com), a clothing MUST if you want to be tragically hip! Matt & Alyssa were so fun to work with! They’ve been married for 5 years already, so they’re more comfortable with each other than the average couple I usually work with; it was a great change of pace for me.

I regret to announce that Angela has stolen all beauty and kept it for herself. There is none left for the rest of us. You see what I mean?
Angela & Corey were married this weekend, (www.StorybookWeddings.org) so I’m free to share!

Pond Mountain Lodge is one of our favorite places to go in Eureka Springs. It’s just a few minutes outside of town, (so there’s actually a place to park!), it’s got a pool (yay!) and better yet…it’s not Victorian! The owner, Judy Jones, is such a wonderful hostess, too. If you’re ever looking for a place to stay in Eureka, visit www.PondMountainLodge.com for details!

I have fun at work quite frequently, but this family made my job extra fun for the day! (Okay, it might have something to do with inviting me to the family dinner afterwards, or the fact that one of the family members did an amazing mani/pedi last week at Anna Christy’s, or that Dad Simpson has a Southern draw that could talk me into dying my hair green…but any way you look at it, FUN!) I think we had 13 people all together, which can get kind of chaotic, but this group made it easy on me! Thank you!

What a gorgeous wedding they had! And I even got to shoot this one with both Blaine and Jackey. a very rare occurance! Sarah & Josh decided to see each other before the ceremony, which gave them time (and daylight) for some great shots downtown. As I’ve mentioned on my blog so many times, I love it when the bride & groom do this. I think they are the couples who are happiest with their pictures. To Josh & Sarah, it was a pleasure to be there for your big day!
