Brandon & Carrie, thank you so much for asking us to be there for your wedding day. We had so much fun! If I ever remarry Luke, I am soooo wearing a bird cage and having Kelbert & Garth mc! Congrats, you two!
These two lovebirds will be getting married in just a few short months, so it’s about that time. E-session time, that is. (www.Storybookweddings.org) Nick and Crystal, it was a pleasure to meet you!
Okay, enough chatter…here you go:

Oh to be a kid again! Dax is two years old and loves life; he barely stopped giggling the whole time I was shooting. (I suppose that speaks volumes of his parents, eh?) It’s so fun to ask a child to show off for you, ya know? I mean, I’ve never even met Dax before last night, but now I’ve met SuperDax, the enthralled-by-a-pile-of-poop Dax, the bike-riding Dax, the red-faced Dax, the laughy Dax, the peek-a-boo Dax (see below) and a whole lotta the I-love-sticks Dax!
Cherri & Derek, it was a pleasure meeting you and thank you for trusting me with the job of capturing your family!

Kelly and Mark called me because they wanted to do a post-wedding shoot. You see, at a wedding, there often isn’t nearly enough time for capturing very many creative or photojournalistic shots; and yet sometimes those are the pictures that become the most cherished. So we set out to add some fun & creative shots to their family album.

Now that Tylicia and Justin are married, the dress is no longer a secret! So without further adieu…The Mocha Princess.

Tylicia & Justin were married just 3 days ago in the courtyard of the enchanting Dresser Mansion (I love that place; definitely on my list of favorite venues!), so my mother (Judy) and I were there to shoot the occasion. (www.StorybookWeddings.org) It was hotter than a Cambodian summer day, but waaaayy more beautiful! Tylicia was looking drop-dead gorgeous, and Justin was busy ‘bringin’ sexy back’! And I tell you what!…those groomsmen had no shortage of personality! They tricked me into thinking I was 22 again!
The ceremony was very touching, as they honored Justin’s late grandmother and read their own vows. Mershon’s did a fabulous job (as usual) with the decorations and flowers, and Marquis, their DJ, brought down the house with Justin’s favorite… the Stanky Leg!
Tylicia & Justin, it was an honor to be there with you for such an important day of your life! Thank you for having us! I hope you’re having a wonderful time in Atlantis right now!

Jeff & Jessa had a beautiful ceremony this past Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Tulsa, and my husband and I were there with them to capture their special day. (www.StorybookWeddings.org) After the ceremony, they had an amazing reception at the Doubletree. Their cake was gorgeous, food was scrumptious and the music was just right! Both Jeff and Jessa’s families were so kind, it was a pleasure to be there with them on such a big day!
On a side note…I’m telling you, if I had half the grace and elegance this girl has, I’d be a movie star! Jeff, you’re one lucky guy!

And the ringbearer trying to hide from me… I see you!
Okay, so really their session was mainly for family pics, but I’m just so hung up on these two little kids that I had to show you! Averee is the most beautiful little two-year old and her sweet disposition will make you smile even on your worst day! And Jessica, get your bat ready ’cause you’re gonna be beating the girls off of Gabe! Shooo-ey! He’s a handsome little man!
Averee was playing with bubbles and you can see ‘tasted’ some!

I don’t think I can write a blog posting about these two without mentioning that Kody is a singer in a Gospel Trio, so let’s just get that out of the way to start with! How cool is that?! Anyway, these two love birds are gettin’ hitched next month, so last night we went out for their engagement session. (www.StorybookWeddings.org) We hit the ‘golden hour’ of sunlight and viola! It was perfect! (Until the golden hour ended, and then it was just dark.)

Oh happy day! Matt & Emily had a beautiful ceremony last weekend at Trinity and made it official! My husband Luke and I were there with them to document the day. (www.StorybookWeddings.org) And what a day they had! Somehow there was a mix up with the tuxes and poor Matt was left without anything to wear until the very last minute before he had to walk down the aisle. (Everyone on both sides of the family and all the vendors knew about the mishap, everyone except Emily! So naturally, Emily was just as calm as can be!) In the end, everything worked out just fine…whew! Both Emily and Matt’s families were an absolute pleasure to work with and we very much enjoyed being a part of such a special day. Congratulations Emily & Matt! Hope you’re having an amazing time on the beach right now!
