Leslie & Ben will be getting married in June, so the three of us set out for the zoo to do an engagement shoot (www.Storybookweddings.org). These two have the greatest sense of humor and you can tell that they are completely comfortable with each other. Geez, I’m rambling again, so I’ll get on with it- here are a few of my favs….

I met Wendy & Joe a few months ago when they had their e-session with Storybook. They got married this past weekend at Forrest Ridge. Gorgeous! It was an outside wedding and the weather was perfect! It couldn’t have been any more beautiful! And her dress…..oh…..my…..GOSH! It was straight out of a magazine!
Congratulations Joe & Wendy!
Okay, this girl is so beautiful that my Photoshop was like “You think I can make her MORE beautiful? Girl, you must be crazy, cuz that ain’t possible!” (Yes, that’s right, my Photoshop talks to me. It has a Southern accent, too.) Back to Beth…She and her parents met me at the park and we just happened to hit the most perfect lighting (and about 60 kids taking prom pics, too. Eye roll. Why do I get annoyed so easily? Is it my Italian roots? I need to find something to blame it on!)
Anyway, Beth, it was so nice to finally meet you. You’ve got the sweetest family and I’m sure your fiance is amazing, too. (At least he’d better be!) And here’s to hoping that he doesn’t find this blog posting!

YPC is a brand new church in Pryor, Oklahoma. Pastor Darian & Tyra Rains were my youth leaders (and for their sake and mine, I won’t say how many years ago.) Anyway, the church launched on Easter Sunday and they are growing quickly! Check them out on Sunday mornings at 11 am, 1 mile east of Walmart in Pryor, or at www.yourplacechurch.com
I met Mariana through Jeanett (of Jeanett & Noel, October ’08 wedding post). I was honored to be a part of such a special day for Mariana. After her ceremony, Mariana and several of her friends met me at the park for a quick shoot. We were lucky enough to get some good shots before it started to rain. Here are a few of my favorites:

Kali’s mom entered a photo into a Pottery Barn Kids’ photo contest and won! For the month of May, Kali will have her photo on the website and in the catalog! Yay Kali!

Krissi had a bridal session with Storybook about a month ago, but as always, I don’t post those pictures until after the wedding, save a few exceptions. Krissi’s gown, as you already know from her wedding photo, is stunning. And this girl has the kind of hair that the rest of us are jealous of! (Please properly ooh and ahh at these shoes, as Krissi went to 9 stores in search of the perfect pair!)

I have these pictures of my son that I keep in a folder called “A Day in the Life” and there’s nothing particularly special about any of the days that the pictures were taken; perhaps a trip to the park, a snow storm, or just testing out a new lens, etc. But it’s in those little occasions that sometimes we create memorable moments. Here’s one of mine:

My husband Luke and I had the privilege of shooting Krissi & Denver’s wedding this past weekend for Storybook (www.StorybookWeddings.org). Krissi looked so amazing in her gown and you should’ve seen their little boy Landon- he’s two and had on a teeny-tiny tux and little cowboy boots…sooo cute! (That’s Landon’s hand mushing playdough below.) The ceremony went off without a hitch and everything was just beautiful, it couldn’t have been any better! And that Denver… You know how they say that the best way to tell if a man will treat you well is to look at how he treats his mother? Well Krissi, I believe you found yourself a keeper ‘cuz he treats his mama right! Congrats Krissi & Denver and thank you for letting us be a part of your day!

I met Katie & Chris in the park for some engagement shots with Storybook (www.StorybookWeddings.org). They were so patient while I fiddled between lenses. I think the fiddling paid off….
